Welcome to GA Min Pin Kennel Website!

ATTENTION - WE ARE NO LONGER BREEDING PUPPIES!

We are a small kennel in Sandy Springs, GA. We raised our min pins in our home and they are care for them with lots of love. On average, our puppies will weigh about 10 pounds or less as adults, their dew claws are removed and their tails are docked. We start socialization very early and do our best to potty/crate training until they go to their forever homes. Upon delivery of your puppy, you'll receive a puppy pack that includes a folder with the AKC pre-paid registration, a copy of the litter certificate showing the pedigree, vaccination records, microchip information as well as a  3-day food supply and other puppy essentials to help with their transition to their new homes. You'll also get pictures bi-weekly to watch your puppy grow...

We best describe our min pins to be true to the breed but spoiled rotten by us. They love to sit on our laps, go on car rides, play with toys, love to run and they took on potty/crate/obedience training very well. Min Pins are curious, they think they are big dogs and they are known to be are known to be escape artists...when our dogs were puppies, keeping them in a playpen inside the house did not work - they climbed out the playpen every time...LOL!

We are proud members of...

  • We are committed to the health of our breeding stock in accordance with the recommendations of their breed’s National Breed Club.
  • We pursue AKC provided/approved continuing breeder education to stay educated on the best breeding practices, including advances in canine health.
  • We comply with the AKC Care and Conditions Policy including inspections, health testing and continuing education.
  • We are responsible for the health and well-being of the puppies we produce and for complying with all laws regarding the ownership and maintenance of dogs.
  • We uphold the AKC’s tradition of breeding purebred dogs that are happy and healthy.

About the Breed...

The leggy Miniature Pinscher is known to fans as the “King of Toys.” This proud, fearless, fun-loving toy breed of lustrous coat and a compact, wedge-shaped physique is a true personality dog, known for a high-stepping “hackney” gait.  AKC recognized Miniature Pinschers in the Toy Group in 1925.

The Miniature Pinscher is structurally a well balanced, sturdy, compact, short-coupled, smooth-coated dog. He naturally is well groomed, proud, vigorous and alert. Characteristic traits are his hackney-like action, fearless animation, complete self-possession, and his spirited presence.

Experts say Min Pins go back several centuries, but the exact point of origin remains murky. Breed historians accept the idea that Min Pins are a cross of the Dachshund and Italian Greyhound. The German Pinscher is another possible component breed. (Because their names and physical contours are similar, it’s often mistakenly assumed that Min Pins are mini Doberman Pinschers.) Min Pins routinely reside at or near the top of rankings of Europe’s favorite toy dogs. Americans are awfully fond of them too.

Miniature Pinschers are very smart and love their families, but they can also be independent and may try to test their owner’s limits, so obedience training is a good idea. Early socialization and puppy training classes are recommended and help to ensure that the dog grows into a well-adjusted, well-mannered companion.
