New Owner Questionnaire

Thank you for your interest in owning a GMPK Miniature Pinscher!

It is our policy to make certain that each person who purchase a puppy is aware of the responsibilities of pet ownership, is capable of and willing to accept those responsibilities, morally, physically and financially. We always try to find the best possible home and environment for our puppies. Due to various reasons, not all applicants are a good fit and some are not selected.

If you would like to own one of our puppies, please begin the process by reading our purchase agreement and filling out the new owner questionnaire below. A $300, non-refundable deposit is required to hold a puppy. We cannot hold a puppy without a deposit. Your remaining balance is due when the puppy is 7 weeks old. Once we receive your deposit, we’ll take the puppy offline and hold him/her for you until he/she is 8 weeks old and ready to come home!

If you live close to us (Sandy Springs, GA) and would like to visit with your puppy, please give us a call to schedule an appointment. We'll send you updates and pictures of your new puppy every week so you can watch him/her grow while we wait for your puppy to reach 8 weeks old.

*** Note: If your puppy is too small at 8 weeks old and we am concerned about him or her traveling, we may decide to hold the puppy for additional weeks to make sure he/she is big enough to travel. The health, safety and happiness of my puppies is very important to me.***

Flying Your Puppy Home

*** Note: If your puppy is coming home during the winter months, there is a chance that his/her flight will be postponed, due to cold weather***

  • American Airlines will not ship live animals if the temperature is under 20 degrees.

  • Delta Airlines will not ship live animals if the temperature is under 10 degrees.

This is for the health and safety of your pet. If a puppy gets too cold, he or she can get very sick! Such circumstances are beyond my control, but we’ll do our best to get your puppy home to you as soon as possible- healthy, safe and sound!

Puppies that are flown home to their families are shipped as cargo via a major airline’s Pet Program. We'll book the shortest flight for our puppies but if necessary, not more than one layover to ensure that the puppy is safe and arrives home as soon as possible.

We'll book your flight as soon as I receive final payment. You’ll receive the flight confirmation a few days prior to flying with the flight number, arrival time, pick up location at your airport and the waybill number to track your puppy's flight plan.

On the day your best friend comes home, you’ll need your ID to claim the puppy. You’ll pick your puppy along with his or her travel crate, a baggie of sample puppy food and puppy folder that includes a healthy puppy certificate from my vet, his or her shot record, AKC registration application and other helpful puppy information like pet insurance, microchips, etc. This paperwork will be attached to the top of the puppy's crate.

Apart from rescheduling flights due to the weather, the puppy usually arrives on time, without any problems or complications! They are happy, healthy and ready to play! It is rare to have any problems with the airlines delivering your puppy to you.

By completing and signing this questionnaire, you will aid us in determining if you or your family are indeed ready for pet ownership and if the puppy of your interest would suit you and your lifestyle. Please make sure you are willing to abide by the terms in the purchase agreement before filling out the new owner questionnaire below. Should you agree to purchase a puppy, you understand it is a lifetime commitment of your companion animal. Please fill out the new owner questionnaire when ready.
